City of Redwood City
Pulled & managed for you

Redwood City changes character block by block. Near downtown, Mount Carmel and Edgewood Park keep their 1920s–30s Spanish and Mediterranean homes, the kind worth remodeling gently. Head uphill and postwar ranches give way to Emerald Hills, where steep lots usually mean geologic and grading review before an addition can go anywhere. We work across all of it, kitchens, baths, whole homes, and ADUs, and we plan for the terrain from the first site visit.

Our family has been building out of San Jose since 2012, and every Redwood City project gets the same setup: one family, one crew, one point of contact. We draw the plans, pull City of Redwood City permits, and handle Title 24, so the only decisions left on your plate are the finishes.

Redwood City runs its own building department, and we manage every step of the permit process for you, from drawings to final inspection.

Redwood City remodeling: common questions
Do you pull City of Redwood City permits?
Yes. Permits run through the City of Redwood City Building Division, and we manage the whole process for you: drawings, submittal, Title 24 energy compliance, SB 407 water-fixture updates, and inspections. On the steep Emerald Hills lots, that can also include geologic and grading review, which we coordinate so you never deal with the city directly.
How much does a remodel cost in Redwood City?
Most kitchens start around $30,000 and bathrooms around $15,000, though the right number for your Redwood City home depends on its size, age, and finish level. We give a free, fixed-price estimate up front. See our cost guide.
Which Redwood City neighborhoods do you work in?
All of them: Mount Carmel, Edgewood Park, Emerald Hills, and Friendly Acres, plus the surrounding Bay Area.
What's different about remodeling a hillside Emerald Hills home?
Emerald Hills lots are steep, so additions and bigger remodels usually need geologic and grading review, careful site access, and foundations designed for the slope. We plan for that up front so the design works with the hillside instead of fighting it.
