Silicon Valley Building Service and Repair is the Mirassou family: David, Tristan, and the crew you'll meet below. The family has worked on South Bay homes since 2012, and today we remodel them the same way we always have, one accountable crew from the first sketch to the final walkthrough.

Why we started, and how we still work

We started this company because we'd seen how remodels usually go: a parade of subcontractors nobody introduces, invoices that keep growing, a designer who never once stands in the room being torn apart. A remodel means months of people in your house. We think the people doing it should act like they know that.

So we built the company we'd hire ourselves. Design, permits, and the trades stay in-house. You deal directly with the owners, the price is fixed in writing before a single wall opens up, and the crew that demos your kitchen is the crew that hands it back. When it's done, a written workmanship warranty stands behind all of it.

The work started small. David spent years as a handyman across the South Bay, at first running jobs under another contractor's license and learning every trade hands-on. In 2019 he earned his own general contractor's license from the state (CSLB #1050108), and the company grew from repairs and service calls into full kitchens, baths, ADUs, and whole-home remodels. The name still says Service and Repair because that is where it began, and it is still how the crew treats your home: show up, do it right, clean up after yourselves.

Licensed, insured, and accountable

We're licensed with the Contractors State License Board (CSLB #1050108, held in our own name since 2019) and fully insured, and we carry an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. We pull permits in our own name and stand there for every inspection, because a permit done right protects you today, your home's value tomorrow, and your paperwork the day you sell.
