Walk the blocks around the Municipal Rose Garden and you can read the 1910s through the 1930s in the houses: Spanish Colonial arches, Tudor rooflines, Craftsman porches, through Shasta–Hanchett Park and Hanchett Residence Park. These are some of San Jose's most beautiful streets, and they take a careful hand. Shasta–Hanchett Park sits within a designated City of San José conservation area, and many nearby homes sit in historic-character areas, so we do our modernizing where it belongs, in the systems, kitchens, and baths behind the walls, and leave the façades and detailing as the neighborhood knows them.
